I’m not really much of the artsy abstract photo type…..I think the whole concept is really cool, though. This was a summer morning in my hometown of Cranford, NJ a couple of years back. I had gone for an early morning walk and came across this birdhouse…..sort of stuck in the middle of a field of tall grass. Not sure who put it there or how long ago, but a bunch of bluebirds had taken up residence. I spent the next 20 minutes trying to get the cover shot of the next issue of Bluebirds in Cranford magazine but I got nowhere…..mama and papa bluebird weren’t following my posing instructions at all. So, I decide to try and focus on the sunlit grass in front and let the rest fade into the background. And the rest is history……lame and uneventful history…..but history nonetheless..
