The Calm after the Storm

There is something really pleasant about sunrise along the Las Vegas strip. It is probably the only time in the entire day that the streets are close to empty. The bars have closed....and everyone is back in their hotel room. Thats the time I like to jump out of bed and wander with my camera.

Just an hour off the Las Vegas strip is Valley of Fire State Park. If you are a Star Trek fan, the you may recognize that this is where Captain Kirk battles against Dr. Sauron in the movie Generations. If you aren't a Star trek fan, go there anyway. You will love it.
