My wife and I were on our way home after an evening with some friends. During our drive home, we past over the North Avenue bridge and saw this scene. My eyes lit right up.. She just looked at me and said "OK, I will wait in the car". She is awesome

A Night at the Fox
The Fabulous Fox theater in downtown Atlanta. I’ve always wanted to get inside with my camera, but the folks that run in aren’t so keen on that. I’m not really sure why ….you’d think they would like the free advertising but, instead, they get really suspicious and start asking questions. I guess they want to make sure I’m not going to build my own 5000 seat theater in my backyard and steal their patrons. The night I took this, there was a concert going on so, right behind me, was a group of about 50 people….talking mostly about the 2 really nice cars parked there on display. Lucky for me, the security guards were so preoccupied that they didn’t notice my ninja-like tripod routine.

Midtown Rush
Most people I know get their relaxation time sitting on a beach chair……but, for me, I’d pick a bench along 5th Avenue or Peachtree Street any day. The buzz of the traffic, a cool breeze and a cup of coffee and I’d be all set. I took this from right near the entrance to the Georgian Terrace Hotel in downtown Atlanta a few nights ago. Its a combination of 3 shots…..one for the buildings, one for the Fox sign and one for the light trails. I wasn’t trying to be all artsy or anything…..just had to do it that way because the lights on the Fox sign and the marquee keep changing….…and I couldn’t get the timing right. Luckily, there was some Sinatra playing in the hotel lobby and leaking its way on to the street. Nighttime in the city with some "Ol' Blue Eyes"……doesn’t get better than that.
