We stayed a couple of days this week in Bay Lake Tower, which is sort of connected to The Contemporary. Resort. This is the entrance to one of the gift shops, where you can part ways with the little bit of cash that you have left.
We had a pretty late night the other day in Epcot. It was about an hour past Illuminations so most of the crowds had left. Some folks were in front of the French Pavilion taking pics by the Beauty and the Beast flower statues but, back here….nobody but us. Epcot at night is so amazingly peaceful. Well, I mean it usually is….but we had a stroller, a bunch of kids and a lot of empty space….so you can probably figure out the rest. Oh, by the way, the tires on the Disney strollers aren’t really meant to support the weight of an adult…just sayin.
OK, I have to admit. The Italy Pavilion is my favorite part of Epcot...especially at night, when the blue sky looks so cool against the warm colors in the architecture. Its the kind of place where you just want to sit around and drink espresso, while old Dean Martin songs play overhead. And, at the end of the night, it is a killer spot to watch illuminations. Oh, by the way, I heard you can get a gelato sandwich here somewhere...just the thought of geloto jammed between a couple of chocolate chip cookies has to make the world a better place. Has anyone actually had one of these? I'm.not sure how I missed that on my last trip....but its on the must-do list for next time around....
