Expedition Everest (coolest ride EVER!!) had closed down one night because of a heavy rain, but a nice cast member let me in to walk around in the queue. The area I am standing in is only opened during really long lines….else it’s closed off. It’s pretty amazing the detail that the Disney folks put in to these waiting areas. I found out later that Disney sent a team of people to Nepal to study and and bring back artifacts that would make riders feel like they were checking in to an Everest base camp before going in to the mountain. The Yeti was even designed based on conversations that they had had with some of the natives. For me, I just get a kick out of watching my youngest daughter giggle as we ride it…
The Disney Balloons.....finally got a picture that I like ;) By the way....did you know that they'll replace the balloon if it pops or the string breaks. And apparently you can flatten them to bring them home. That might help justify the $10.
