Punchbowl Falls from Above
A top-down view of Punchbowl Falls/ Eagle Creek Trail in the Columbia River Gorge. Its about a 4.2+ mile round trip hike to this point and, for some of it, you are walking on ledges that engineers blasted from sheer basalt cliffs. So there's a couple of "oh-crap" moments when you need to let go of the metal rope so that someone can pass you....but those are few and far between. Other than that, it's an amazing hike.....I am not sure what state its in after last weeks fire, but I am definitely looking forward to seeing it again one day. This was shot with a Sony a7RII and Zeiss 16-35mm lens.....0.7 sec exposure to blur out the falls a bit.
